What to Do if You Just Don’t Like How Noni Tastes

We’ll be the first to admit it: noni has an unusual flavor and smell. It’s most similar to bleu cheese, enough so that many people call it “Cheesy Fruit” or just “Stinky Fruit.” Some people call it “Vomit Fruit,” but we promise that one in particular isn’t accurate.
But it is a fact that many people are shocked by their first taste of noni fruit.
Many people try noni for the first time either when they try our Noni Fruit Leather, or when they sample noni fruit fresh from the tree when they visit our organic family farm on a tour. The fruit tastes better than it smells, but it’s always funny to watch people’s initial reaction on the farm tour.

Noni Tips for Pets

Pets love Noni Too!! Do not forget your favorite friend whether cat, dog or horse. There is no placebo effect with animals – either something works or it does not work. We at Hawaiian Organic Noni have worked with Veterinarians for years now with great results.

Noni for Natural Flea Prevention

From our own personal experience with our farm dogs, feed your pet Noni Fruit Leather and they will be flea free: A great natural Flea preventative plus no internal parasites. Bhakti (12 years old) and Bindi (our new Beagle) both eat a 2X2 inch square of Noni Fruit Leather everyday. They are flea free and both have beautiful coats of hair. Instead of giving your pet Frontline or a poison to kill fleas, feed them Noni Fruit Leather as raw food and watch the fleas leave and not come back.

Noni Tips for General Use

Noni products color variations

We get a lot of questions about the natural color variations of our noni products. Some of you have expressed concern that a different color fruit leather or lotion means a batch isn’t as potent or as fresh. This isn’t true at all.
First of all, our organic noni products (Noni Fruit Leather/Lotions/Noni Biobandage) have a two year shelf life, not refrigerated. You may refrigerate if you so desire, but it’s not necessary to maintain freshness. We only deliver the freshest products!
I would not recommend leaving noni products on the dashboard of your car in the sun, however, but it’s not because they will “go bad.” It’s because they are a raw food, and heat destroys beneficial compounds and potency. UV rays can also darken the color, so you might want to leave your noni lotion in a cool, dark space (cabinet or refrigerator).

How the Noni Sports Lotion was born

Many have asked: What gave you the inspiration for the Noni IcyHeat Sports Formula Lotion?
You can thank Melody Thoth, a head sports trainer at the University of Hawaii for 20 years, for our Noni Lavender Lotion and IcyHeat Noni Lotion. She immediately saw the benefits of our Noni Lavender Lotion, our first formula, for relieving the pain and inflammation of sports injuries and helping with treating muscle and ligament tissues in athletes.
Several years later, Mel helped us develop our IcyHeat Noni Lotion. It’s the same formula as our Noni Lavender Lotion, but with menthol crystals and camphor oil added to bring more rapid pain relief. This formula has been a big hit with many folks who suffer from any kind of pain or inflammation.

5 Reasons to Switch to Raw Food Noni

There’s a perennial difficulty with noni fruit. It’s really difficult to preserve and ship, because the fruit starts to break down and ferment within hours after ripening. Juicing and fermenting the fruit to create a stable product is a common solution to this problem—but it causes as many issues as it solves.
Some might think that drinking noni juice is just as nutritious as eating the raw fruit, but there’s no comparison. Raw noni fruit is more potent, more nutritious, and more versatile.

Save Water! 9 Things You Can Do At Home

Water is one of nature’s most precious resource. Without it, nothing could survive. Many individuals don’t know much about water except it comes out of the kitchen sink or garden hose at home. We at Hawaiian Organic Noni would like to take the lead spreading the word regarding water conservation. Enjoy reading what we’ve learned about this amazing resource we can’t live without!

Fun Water Facts:

  • Without water, the earth would look like the moon.
  • All living things need water to live. People can survive up to a month without food, but only a few days (week at most) without water. An individual is recommended to drink six to eight glasses of water each day!
  • Our bodies are 70% water (of that percentage, 90% is the composition of our lungs)
  • Some of our favorite foods are up to 80% water (Ex. Apples, Pineapples, Corn)
  • Less than 2% of the global water supply is freshwater. Only 1% is drinkable.
  • On average, a person needs 5-13 gallons of water per day for basic needs.

Join the Noni Raw Food Movement

What is Raw Food?

Glad you asked! Going raw is about consuming unprocessed, unaltered, cold-pressed foods that are not heated/cooked above 115˚F.

What are the Benefits of Raw Foods?

1. Alkaline. Our body’s natural state is alkaline. Our blood supply needs to be alkaline constantly (PH of 7.3 ) for optimal health.
Did you know? Eating processed, sodium filled, GMO laden foods can off balance your body’s PH. Although one may not feel the immediately affects, this eating style can cause various health issues such as high blood pressure and diabetes
2. Enzymes. Although there are exceptions, most of the enzymes and nutrients found in raw foodare depleted when heated/cooked and processed.
Did you know? Foods are easily digested by the body when living enzymes are remained intact. When your body isn’t focused on breaking down the food you eat, it can focus on delivering all the nutrients to every system in your body for use.
3. Weight Loss. Chemicals in the food we eat (hormones, antibiotics, emulsifiers), have been linked to weight gain, diabetes, and other health issues.
Did you know? Raw foods are high in dietary fiber. This type of natural fiber can keep you more full longer thus helping you naturally eat less.
4. Healthy Skin. Your body naturally cleans and detoxes itself. Although liver and kidneys do an excellent job, your skin also takes part by sloughing off old skin cells revealing fresh new healthy skin cells underneath. Eating a raw, whole food, clean diet feeds your body from the inside out. Causing your skin to glow. Naturally.
Did you know? You really are what you eat. Your body reproduces cells, body tissue, bone, and heals wounds using the compounds found in the food you consume. Something to seriously consider when reaching for that bag of bon-bons.
