Get Back to Nature on a Hawaiian Organic Noni Farm Tour

If you’re planning a trip to Kauai and you’re looking for a unique way to get in touch with the natural beauty of the island, consider taking a tour of the farm where we’ve grown organic Noni fruit for over thirty years.

Over the course of a 2 ½ hour personal tour, you’ll gain a unique understanding of the plants and animals of Kauai, and how they contribute to a healthy ecosystem – which includes humans!

Here are some of the things you’ll learn about and experience on your rejuvenating farm tour:

Beautiful Scenery

Kauai is geologically the oldest of the Hawaiian islands at about 5 million years old.  It’s often said to be the most remote and beautiful of the Hawaiian Islands, known as the “Garden Island.”  There’s a reason we’ve chosen to make our home here in the Kaakaaniu Valley – there’s no place like it on Earth.

As you explore the extensive 37 acre organic Noni farm, you’ll get a unique look at the ancient valley and plateau, which has orchards stretching all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

Natural Remedies

You’ll also learn about the ancient Polynesian medicinal fruit we grow here on the plantation.  We’ll tell you all about the history of Morinda Citrifolia – known more commonly as Noni fruit – and how it came to the Hawaiian Islands
.
Noni fruit has been a natural remedy for centuries, eaten raw or rubbed on the body to promote health. We’ll explain how Noni has been used as a health product throughout the years.  Recently, there has been a bulk of published research from scientific laboratory studies, which are beginning to explain what the Polynesians have known for centuries – Noni heals.

Here are just a few of the positive effects Noni can have on the body:
  • Boost the immune system
  • Decrease inflammation
  • Stabilize cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels
  • Improved join health
  • Youthful skin tone and texture
  • Promote cardiovascular health
  • Reduce pain

You’ll get the chance to learn the specifics on the farm tour, and browse our collection of articles.  In addition, you’ll get to sample all of the farm’s Noni health products – fruit leather and lotions that can have a dramatic positive impact on the human body.  We’ll explain the uses and benefits of each product, including our Noni products for pets!

Local Plants

As part of the tour, you’ll also get to see some of the wild plants that grow on the plantation.  You’ll see Noni trees growing in the wild, when you’ll get to smell the distinctive scent of the ripe raw fruit, as well sampling this superfood in its natural state.

Intermixed with the wild Noni trees are banana, papaya, mango, lychee, star fruit, avocado, coconut, and banyan trees, as well as many tropical flowers.

We’ve been living in the valley for many years, so we’re experienced tour guides to the native plants of Kauai.

Animals

The farm is home to many wild and domesticated animals.  Some of them, like our native earthworms, have important jobs on the farm.  We’ll show you the “Worm Hotel,” where the worms busily turn kitchen scraps into black gold.  Black gold is what farmers call worm castings, which are hugely beneficial for the soil.

Some of the animals, like Billy Bob (one of the farm’s local roosters)and Bhakti (the farm’s 10 year old Australian Sheppard and Airedale mix)are fixtures of everyday farm life.

Then there are the beautiful wild animals that make the Kaakaaniu Valley their home.  You may see an albatross soaring above the ocean, or even a dolphin if you’re very lucky.
