Noni: Organic To The Roots

At Hawaiian Organic Noni, it’s more than just about selling an organic product. It traces all the way back to our roots. From the very start we strive to keep everything organic, good for our planet, and good for you! With our organic farming experience going back forty years, the techniques we use ensure that our soil is fertile, healthy, and full of nutrients. One key technique is mulching.

Why Mulching?
Mulching is one of the easiest ways to enrich soil fertility. Mulching essentially imitates the natural cycle of leaves, wood, and other plant matter building up on the ground to cover the soil. It retains moisture and creates an enticing environment for worms, the closest friend for healthy soil! On our organic farm on Kauai we make sure to continually mulch every single noni tree in our orchard. It keeps them growing and healthy, providing the trees with essential nutrients.
Try it in your own garden: Mulch around your plants and trees and you will see the positive results. You can use plant materials from around the yard like leaves, grass clippings, wood chips, even shredded paper and cardboard will work--minus the tape!

What else do you do besides mulching?

Care For Your Body and Get Rid of Stretch Marks

Ever notice odd streaks or stripes on your skin, almost like tiger stripes of discoloration? Most people have at least a few, and some people have lots of stripes on different parts of their body.
These stripes are known as stretch marks. Essentially, they’re scars that form when your skin is stretched and there isn’t enough time for new skin to form and fill in the gaps. Learn more about how scars form and heal by clicking here.
It’s a fairly common and totally harmless occurrence, but they make getting your body beach ready this spring rather daunting!
Stretch marks can have a variety of causes, from pregnancy to puberty to dietary changes, and they’re commonly found on the abdomen, arms, and legs. They may be pinkish, silvery, or dark purple, and the colors may change over time.
Hawaiians have known for centuries that the noni fruit could keep their body youthful by effectively preventing and treating stretch marks. We wanted to share how this healing process works!

How Noni Heals Skin Conditions Like Stretch Marks

Raw noni fruit contains over 165 beneficial compounds, many of which are the building blocks for healthy skin. Ancient Polynesians applied the raw pulp of the noni fruit to their skin to treat a wide variety of ailments, from acne to open wounds.
Taking this idea from the Hawaiians, we have created a raw Noni Lavender Lotion that works wonders on the delicate skin area that is your stretch marks. The formula is entirely organic and toxin-free, making our lotions safer than the hundreds of products that claim stretch mark relief at your drugstore.

Hydration

One of the main benefits of applying Noni Lavender Lotion is the powerful hydration this lotion provides — a major factor in eliminating stretch marks. Moist, taut skin has a much easier time stretching out, which could actually help prevent stretch marks before they appear!
The first ingredient in our Noni Lavender Lotion is, of course, pulp from raw organic noni fruit. In fact, Noni Lavender Lotion is 99.2% raw noni pulp. The second is pure water, then grapefruit seed extract, and finally just a bit of soothing lavender oil.
While our Noni Lotions don’t feel like lotions you buy at the store, that’s because our products are not ladened with waxes, chemicals, and silicones. Those additives might make you feel like you’re caring for your skin, but in the end, they do more harm than good.
The best way to care for skin is with water-based lotions. Our formula allows the noni to be soaked up into the skin to hydrate deep down in the tissue of your stretch marks. You should quickly see improvements in skin quality, texture, and elasticity.

Skin Tightening

It might seem paradoxical to try to eliminate stretch marks by tightening the skin, but in fact, many stretch marks appear when skin has been stretched and then loosened. Restoring supple, taut skin can go a long way toward clearing up stretch marks.
Our Noni Lavender Lotion is able to balance both hydration and skin tightening unlike any other product. Within the natural fruit pulp of noni, the primary ingredient of our lotions, are a variety of compounds that help with skin aging. Selenium, for example, helps preserve the youthful nature of your skin.
This compound is also known to help sooth irritation that is often accompanied by stretch marks and help with the discoloration which makes stretch marks so noticeable. Talk about a win-win!

Collagen Growth

Stretch marks form when there isn’t enough collagen to fill in stretched skin, so adding collagen is one of the most effective ways to treat them. There are lots of factors that can decrease collagen, including damage from free radicals. Learn how noni fights free radicals by clicking here.
The noni fruit pulp we use to make our lotions contains high proportions of natural collagen and also stimulates collagen production in the body, thanks to a phytochemical in the anthraquinone group. Use Noni Lavender Lotion daily and your skin will feel smoother and more supple in just a few months.

Exfoliation

Clearing away dead skin cells provides a fresh start for your skin to start healing those stretch marks. But it’s crucial to use an extremely gentle exfoliating agent or risk further damage to the skin. Luckily, yet another benefit of noni is that it functions as a gentle, environmentally-friendly exfoliant!
While you normally would simply apply a thin coat of Noni Lavender Lotion and let it dry, you can also massage a thicker coat of the lotion into your skin to exfoliate. Within seconds, you’ll notice little brown balls forming on the skin as you continue to massage the lotion over your stretch marks. That’s the exfoliated skin gently coming free.
This style of exfoliation is much safer on stretch marks than products containing microbeads, or even natural scrubs made of sugar or salt. Noni soothes rather than irritates an already sensitive area, providing maximal healing.

Best Practices for Best Results

Once or twice a day, simply apply a thin coat of your Noni Lavender Lotion to the area where you have stretch marks. Let the formula dry onto your skin, allowing the essential ingredients to sink into your stretch marks. If you’d like, you may very gently rub the lotion into your skin as a gentle exfoliant.
You can also apply a thicker coat and leave it on to dry as a mask treatment. This will produce quicker healing results. You may also want to try the Instant Noni BioBandage as a mask on particularly stubborn stretch marks.
Make noni a part of your daily routine today, and you should see results by the time you are ready for the beach!

Hawaiian Organic Noni’s Guide to Pain-Free Exercise this Winter

It may not feel like winter here on our family farm on Kauai, but for most of you, the temperatures are dropping, ice is forming, and snow is falling. Winter a time for spending time with family, ideally getting outdoors, exercising, and playing in the snow.
Unfortunately, winter sports have some extra risks associated with them, due to the more hazardous conditions. Cold air can cause muscles to tighten and cramp, and a slip on ice could aggravate an old injury, or create a new one.
That’s why we’ve created this guide to help you stay safe and healthy using Hawaiian Organic Noni. For those of you planning to go skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or even just walking through the snow with your family, using Noni products can help keep you safe, active, and healthy this winter.

Building a Solid Foundation

The most important aspect of preventing pain is giving your muscles, joints, and immune system the nutrients they need to build healthy, strong tissue. To do that, we recommend taking at least one 2x2 square of Noni Fruit Leather each day as an organic preventative.
Noni pulp, like we use in our Noni Fruit Leather, is raw food for your cells! It provides them with all the building blocks they need to repair and build new, healthy tissues.

Benefits of Noni Fruit Leather:

If you eat Noni Fruit Leather every day, you may be able to prevent pain and injury from creeping up on you when you exercise, even during the winter! In particular, noni is excellent at fighting inflammation, often a major contributor to chronic pain. Noni also improves circulation and boosts immune function.

Before Going Out in the Cold

Right before you head out for your adventure, give yourself a noni boost to keep your energy high and ensure pain doesn’t get in your way!

Have a Piece of Noni Fruit Leather:

One of the most immediately noticeable benefits of taking Noni Fruit Leather is the boost of energy you get after your daily dose. Take a piece of Noni Fruit Leather for energy before you get into your winter sports. It’ll help keep your energy levels high, so you can push yourself to get a great workout.

Apply Noni Lotion:

In addition, before you go out into the cold, apply your choice of noni lotion to the muscles and joints you’ll be using while you exercise. You might want to target any problem areas with our Icy Heat Sports Formula.
Our friend Melody Toth, who was a University of Hawaii sports trainer, used our Noni Lotions to improve performance and speed healing for the Warriors’ basketball, football, track, and tennis athletes. She found that if athletes applied the lotion before a game or practice, they were less likely to get injured.
Applying Noni Lotion before you exercise keeps your muscles and joints strong, prevents cramps, improves circulation, and warms up the muscles.
We also have a friend who runs marathons. The first time he ran a marathon using noni, he applied it as he got cramps, allowing him to continue running. His second marathon, however, he applied it before he started running and it prevented cramping altogether!

During Exercise

If you apply Noni Lotion before going out to exercise, you may not have any cramping or pain while you’re moving. If you do start to stiffen up, apply more lotion early and often.
Melody Toth found that if athletes applied one of our Noni Lotions 5 minutes before a game and reapplied at half time, they could go the whole game without getting fatigued or cramped. You can get through a full day of skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking pain-free, if you just keep reapplying!

After Exercise

Once you get back from your adventure, there’s more you can do to keep from stiffening up. It’s a good idea to apply some more noni to areas that are prone to pain and injury. This will help you repair and build muscle, and reduce the inflammation that might build up in days to come.
Noni Lotion works great for massage — just follow the tips in this blog post! You can use our Noni Lavender Lotion or either one of the IcyHeat Noni Lotion formulas for massage.
For best results, and to minimize pain in the days after your activity, apply one of our Noni Lotion before bed. The lotion will sink in overnight so you can rise free from pain.

If You Got Injured

No matter how careful we are, and how much noni we apply beforehand, injuries do happen. Winter sports have their risk, and even taking a walk with family can lead to a slip on some ice.
The good news is, you can apply one of our Noni Lotions to help with the healing process. Noni offers powerful pain relief, without any of the unpleasant side effects of other pain medications.
For fastest pain relief, apply the IcyHeat Noni Lotion to the bottoms of your feet first, and then to the area in pain. The 2000+ nerve endings in your feet carry the pain-relieving beneficial compounds to the injured area almost instantly.
You may even be able to use noni to reduce dependence on NSAIDs and other painkillers. Those drugs take a toll on the body, particularly the stomach and liver, and they may not actually do any healing. Many also have unpleasant side-effects.

The Complete Guide to Travelling with Noni

Travelling with medications, supplements, and other health equipment can be stressful. If you put medications you need to take in checked baggage, it could get lost, or you might have a delayed dose. And not all health products are allowed in carry-on. If your supplement is a raw, whole fruit like noni, it gets even more complicated.
Whether you discovered noni on your travels and want to find a way to bring it home, or if you’re a long-time noni user who needs to bring it along on a trip, this guide will help you out.

Why is Noni Hard to Travel With?

Fresh foods in general are difficult to travel with, but noni is especially delicate. As soon as it’s picked it begins to ripen and within hours of ripening noni starts a rapid fermentation process. This process dramatically changes the chemical composition of the fruit, destroying many of the beneficial compounds that make noni such a powerful superfood.
Within days, the fruit will be totally fermented. Aside from the lost health benefits, fermented noni tastes even more pungent than the raw fruit.
Bringing fresh, whole noni fruits on an airplane would generally not be allowed by agricultural inspectors. If somehow you got pass the agricultural inspection with raw noni fruits it would quickly begin to ferment and smell. And the pungent smell of noni would permeate the aircraft. You wouldn’t be able to bring enough with you to sustain the health benefits long term.
This was the problem we ran into when we first discovered the healing powers of noni. We saw the incredible results the fruit delivers, but we couldn’t figure out a way to share it with the world, without damaging the delicate compounds that make it so beneficial.

Noni Juice Isn’t a Solution

Most people that sell noni process it into a juice form. Basically, making noni juice means using the natural fermentation process that happens when noni begins to ripen. To make juice, the fruit is totally fermented and then the juice is extracted.
The problem is, that fermentation process totally destroys the beneficial enzymes in noni, as well as many other compounds. So noni juice is fully 14x less potent than our raw food Noni Fruit Leather.
Noni juice also doesn’t travel well. It’s too much liquid to take in a carry on, but even if you could, noni juice has to be refrigerated. It’s functionally impossible to travel with.

The Key to Preserving Noni

It took us a long time to figure out exactly how to preserve noni in a way that would keep all the beneficial compounds intact, but we eventually succeeded. Our slow, low-heat dehydration method below 115 degrees F makes our Noni Fruit Leather a raw food. We remove the liquid and maintain the 165 beneficial compounds found in the pulp of noni.
We’ve found that removing the liquid from noni permanently stops that fermentation process. Both our Noni Fruit Leather and Noni Lotions have 2 year shelf life, not refrigerated.
Noni: World Traveller
Because of our innovative formula, we’re now able to ship our noni products worldwide. It’s been such an honor to bring the power of noni to so many people who have never tried it before.

The Art and History Behind our Lauhala Gift Bags

You may have noticed that this month’s coupon from Hawaiian Organic Noni gets you a free lauhala bag and a red bow when you buy one of our Holiday Special Lotion 2-Packs. You can choose any two 8 oz lotions, and we’ll include one of these attractive gift bags for free!
But we’ve gotten a lot of questions: What is Lauhala? Why is it culturally significant? Why do we include it in our holiday special?

What is Lauhala?

Lauhala is a Hawaiian word, coming from the root word lau, which means “leaf” and hala, the word for a common plant in Hawaii, also known as Hawaiian Screwpine or Pandanus tectorius.
Hala has long leaves that can be woven into fabric, which can then be put to a wide variety of uses. The art of weaving hala leaves is common across many Pacific cultures, including in Hawaii. Lauhala refers to the art of weaving hala leaves.

History of Lauhala

Lauhala may have been brought to Hawaii as a canoe plant, which you can learn more about here. Ancient Polynesian explorers brought many of the most important plants they needed for survival with them in their canoes, in the form of seeds or seedlings.
Or, as legend would have it, hala trees may spread across the islands when the volcano goddess Pele ripped the tree apart in punishment for snagging her canoe when she first landed on the island of Hawaii.
However the hala tree got its start on Hawaii, it’s been a vital part of Hawaiian culture for thousands of years.

Hala Trees

Hala would have been considered a very important plant, as it was used for such a wide variety of things, including lauhala weaving. In addition, hala trunks were used for building, and the flowers were used to make special ceremonial leis.

The Ancient Art of Lauhala

The art of lauhala was once a highly prized and developed skill, and weavers were traditionally very well off and praised for their skill. Indeed, most families had many weavers, who turned the plentiful leaves of the hala trees into mats, baskets, clothing, fans and hats.
The art was passed down over generations, with children learning from a variety of teachers who would teach unique styles and techniques. Each weaver’s unique style would be a blend of everyone who taught him or her.

Impact of Western Trade

Unfortunately, the increase in trade with the West caused a decline in the 19th century. Lauhala is still practiced today largely because of the plantation industry. Artisans created hats (still one of the most common applications of lauhala) and baskets to harvest and carry coffee beans. Many artisans survived by trading their lauhala products directly for food.

Lauhala Today

Today, lauhala survives largely due to the tourist industry. Whereas lauhala was used in ancient times to make canoe sails, wall thatch, and mats, it is now most often used to make purses, placemats, and yes, gift baskets. As in ancient times, it’s also commonly used to make garments, especially hats.
Along with leis and grass skirts, lauhala products are seen as one of the iconic souvenirs of Hawaii.

What to Do if You Just Don’t Like How Noni Tastes

We’ll be the first to admit it: noni has an unusual flavor and smell. It’s most similar to bleu cheese, enough so that many people call it “Cheesy Fruit” or just “Stinky Fruit.” Some people call it “Vomit Fruit,” but we promise that one in particular isn’t accurate.
But it is a fact that many people are shocked by their first taste of noni fruit.
Many people try noni for the first time either when they try our Noni Fruit Leather, or when they sample noni fruit fresh from the tree when they visit our organic family farm on a tour. The fruit tastes better than it smells, but it’s always funny to watch people’s initial reaction on the farm tour.
Usually, you can acquire a taste for it over time, especially once you start to associate it with the mood and energy lift that comes with it. But if you really struggle with the taste of Noni Fruit Leather, here are some suggestions to help you get your daily dose of noni anyway.

Roll it Up Like a Pill

This is the easiest way to get your noni without having to taste much of it. It’s also a great way to get stubborn pets to take noni (although most pets seem to love how it tastes — they can tell it’s good for them).
First, portion out a 2x2 inch square of Noni Fruit Leather (our recommended dose) into a fewsmaller pieces. Then simply roll each of those pieces into a ball using your fingers and swallow them like pills. You still get all the health benefits of noni, but it doesn’t have to be in your mouth for very long!

Dissolve it in Liquid

Our Noni Fruit Leather has the unique property of being able to dissolve in liquids. This helps you swallow the noni more quickly, since you don’t have to chew it up. It also gives you the opportunity toadd a flavor that’s more palatable to you.
Try adding your 2x2 inch piece of noni to warm (not hot!) water while you’re steeping tea. Noni’s flavor goes well with many herbal teas. You can also add noni to your favorite juice — preferably homemade or organic.

Make Noni Tea

If mixing noni with your juice or tea still isn’t quite doing it for you, try the special Noni Iced Tea recipe we’ve developed here at Hawaiian Organic Noni! The recipe is naturally-sweetened, allergy-friendly, and totally organic.
You start by pureeing Noni Fruit Leather with water, and then add apple juice, more water, and cinnamon for a complex, fresh, naturally sweet flavor. We serve this tea at the start of every farm tour, and it’s always a hit!

Create a Signature Smoothie Blend

You can also add Noni Fruit Leather to a smoothie blend, where the flavor will almost totally camouflage behind the other fruits you added. It’s particularly good in green smoothies and smoothies with lots of other tropical fruits.
Tip: Start your smoothie blend with just your liquid (water, juice, coconut water, or nut milk), your piece of noni fruit leather, and any vegetables you want to add. Blending these first helps make sure there aren’t any chunks of noni or vegetables in the final smoothie.
Once you have a smoothly blended liquid, add your fruit, thickeners, and other flavorings.

Try Noni Banana Fruit Leather

We also make a different version of our Noni Fruit Leather, which is the same as our regular recipe, but with the addition of real banana. The banana adds extra potassium, so you get all the beneficial compounds of noni, plus all the goodness of ripe banana.
Most importantly, the banana gives the fruit leather a more balanced, sweeter flavor. You can still get your daily dose of noni without having to work too hard to disguise the flavor — we do the work for you! You can also use Noni Banana Fruit Leather in any of the above ways!

Use Noni as a Bleu Cheese Substitute

Some people have difficulty mixing noni fruit’s unusual flavor profile with sweeter flavors, and do better getting their noni from a savory source. Noni actually makes a great bleu cheese substitutein dressings, salads, and dips!
We’ve developed a few recipes that use noni as a bleu cheese substitute. These recipes give you theflavor of bleu cheese, totally vegan and without the fatClick here to take a look!

Visit the original article to see why NOT to switch to Noni Juice.

Did you acquire a taste for noni? Or do you have to get creative to disguise the taste? Let us know in the comments!

Unforgettable Late-Summer Kauai Adventures

Summertime is winding down, but there’s plenty of time to have an incredible outdoor adventure here on Kauai. The weather is gorgeous this time of year on the island, and will continue to be through November.
In fact, many people prefer to visit in the fall, when prices are low and when the weather is gorgeous (70s and 80s). Here are a few awesome adventures to look into next time you’re here on the island.

1. Stand-Up Paddle Tour Hanalei Bay

If you haven’t tried Stand-Up Paddling (SUP) yet, this summer is a perfect time to give it a shot. It’s easier to get the hang of than you might think! Plus, it’s a great way to tour beautiful Hanalei Bay on Kauai, while getting a good workout in.
You might even be able to get an evening tour, to escape the heat of the day and see the bay all lit up with the gorgeous colors of sunset.
Hanalei Surf School offers lessons and tours for all different levels of SUP-ers.

2. Tube the Irrigation System of a Historic Sugar Cane Plantation

If you want to see some of Kauai’s most beautiful scenery, learn about the history of sugar cane cultivation on Kauai, and cool off in a refreshing river adventure, you might want to check out Kauai Backcountry Adventures’ tubing tour.
This is a family-friendly tour, off the beaten track, and a totally unique opportunity. You’ll get to see mountain views, Waialeale Crater, and other incredible scenery. Plus you can check out the tunnels and flumes, engineered and hand-dug in the late 1800s.

3. Cliff Jump and Rope Swing at Kipu Falls

This beautiful stream and freshwater pool offers amazing swimming, adventure, and fun for people of all ages. It’s about a 10 minute drive from downtown Lihue, on the eastern side of the island.
It’s a gorgeous spot to hang out, take a dip, and meet locals and tourists from all over the world.
If you like cliff jumping, there are lots of places to give it a try. Or, you can just watch the locals, who often make 70 foot dives, complete with backflips and other incredible tricks.

4. Hike the First Leg of the Famous Kalalau Trail

The Kalalau Trail is a grueling, 11 mile hike through challenging, dangerous terrain. Lucky for you, the first leg of the trail (about 2.5 miles each way) is a much easier hike, and takes you to gorgeous Hanakapi’ai Beach.
On the way, you’ll also get gorgeous views of the Na Pali coast. All you need are good hiking shoes, plenty of water, a bathing suit, and a towel. And don’t forget a camera to capture the amazing views!

When you arrive, take a cooling rinse in the freshwater stream, which flows straight into the ocean. If you are still feeling adventurous you can hike another 2 miles up valley (4 miles round trip) to Hanakapi’ai Falls- a breath taking waterfall that plunges over 500 feet into the pool below. If you just want to relax then stay on the beach and take time to bask in the sand and take a dip in the Pacific, then head back the way you came. Word of caution-definitely pay close attention to ocean conditions as the Na Pali coastline although gorgeous and pristine is prevalent to strong rip currents and dangerous surf!

How to Use Noni Fruit the Traditional Way

Polynesians and native Hawaiians have known for centuries that noni is a powerful plant for healing. The Polynesians brought noni as one of their 27 “canoe plants” when they first came to settle the Hawaiian islands, and since then, it’s uses have been passed down through generations.
We learned about noni when we moved to our farm on Kauai from California back in 1982. Over time, its ability to heal and fortify the body became clear to us as it healed us and our friends from many chronic health problems. Over the years, the testimonials we’ve gotten from our customers and friends has been further proof to us: noni heals.
But we think a lot of people don’t really understand what noni’s about. They drink the juice, fermented, diluted, and usually sweetened. Countless studies have shown that noni juice contains barely a fraction of the beneficial compounds of the raw fruit.
Traditionally, noni wasn’t fermented and turned into juice as some people do by placing it in glass jars.I always challenge people to visit Bishop Museum in Honolulu and look for a glass jar from even just 150 years ago. They didn’t have them, and they didn’t need them. They ate noni fresh from the tree, year-round.

We stick to that tradition at Hawaiian Organic Noni, because we trust the ancient wisdom of those explorers who brought noni with them as a precious commodity from faraway islands. Here’s what you can learn about noni from the ways it was traditionally used as part of daily life.

Fresh, Raw, and Unfermented

Our goal is to bring you as close as possible to picking the noni right off the tree and eating it fresh—because that’s the way it was meant to be eaten. We make our noni products from raw, organic, unfermented noni pulp.

Challenges of Preserving Noni

Noni has a preservation problem, which is why it was almost always eaten freshly picked from the tree. People began fermenting and preserving it as a matter of convenience. As soon as the white mature fruit is picked, it begins to undergo a slow ripening process and then begins to rot and ferment.  Fermentation turns sugars into alcohol, alters enzyme structures, and damages many of the beneficial compounds.
We were determined to find a way to preserve noni without damaging the health benefits of the raw fruit.

Innovative Process, Traditional Results

After a lot of experimentation, we found that removing the water from noni halted the fermentation process. We developed our unique low-heat dehydration system, to turn raw noni pulp into 100% pure noni fruit leather.
We encourage you to come visit us on Kauai to try fresh noni right from the tree and see what the true traditional experience is like. But if you don’t have access to noni trees every day, you can rest assured that our products are as close to the raw fruit as you can get.

Taking Noni Internally as Raw Food

This is where the real work gets done: when you let noni heal from the inside out. Taking noni internally helps the beneficial compounds in the fruit make the most difference on your body’s systems.
Evidence shows that noni was traditionally eaten daily, both as a natural preventative and for healing a wide variety of conditions, both chronic and acute.

Natural Preventative

Noni was most commonly used as a preventative for a variety of conditions. It has proved itself excellent at maintaining good health, increasing energy levels and holding illness and aging at bay.
Ancient Polynesians valued the noni fruit in large part because of its ability to keep them vital and healthy. It was eaten daily to promote good health.

Healing Long-Term Conditions

Eating noni can also take action against long-term conditions that often resist other treatment. Great examples are diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure and joint pain. When ancient Polynesians got sick, they upped their daily noni intake while they healed.
We recommend taking two to four 2x2 inch pieces per day for healing chronic conditions. You can expect to see results over time, ranging from a week to a month depending on the condition and the severity.

Applying Noni Topically

Topical noni application is another widely known traditional use. Raw fruit was often applied to the skin for various reasons. Noni applied to the skin heals from the outside in, helping build and maintain healthy skin and penetrating deep into the tissue to attack pain at its source.

Promotes Long-Term Skin Health

One reason ancient Polynesians applied noni to the skin was as a long-term preventative. Applied daily, noni fights signs of aging, protects against skin conditions, and heals sun damage.
You might not be able to apply fresh noni fruit to your skin each day, but our Noni Lavender Lotion is made of just noni pulp, water, lavender, and a little grapefruit seed extract. The Noni Lavender Lotion is 99.2% organic noni pulp.

Relieving Pain Symptoms

Chronic pain relief was another traditional use of noni. Noni fruit was applied to inflamed, bruised, strained, or otherwise painful areas to bring relief while healing.
Current published research has shown that the beneficial compounds in noni are75% as effective as morphine for pain relief, but without any of the side effects. Professional athletes use noni to keep pain at bay so they’re ready perform—ancient Polynesians did the same thing.
We created two formulas using menthol and camphor to take the pain relief to the next level: our IcyHeat Noni Lotion is 4% menthol camphor and our IcyHeat Sports Formula is 5% menthol camphor for quickness of response.
